Gerald "Clay" Kornegay Jr., 26, of Laurinburg, died Tuesday at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel in Laurinburg with Pastor Lewis McLean and the Rev. Eddy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at Maple Wood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Clay was born in Scotland County, to Gerald Clay Kornegay Sr., of Bennettsville, S.C., and Cathy Fountain Kornegay, of Laurinburg, who survive him.
