Ruth Rowe, 70, 1511 Catalpa St., peacefully passed from labor to reward Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She will be funeralized Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bear Creek Association Headquarters 1800 S. Slocumb St. with the Rev. George Cromwell officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park.
She leaves a wealth of beautiful memories to her children, Annie Wallace of Goldsboro, Claudette Hankerson of Goldsboro, Pearlie Brown of Portsmouth, Va., Debbie Rowe of Goldsboro, George Ellis of Raleigh, Michael Williams of Clayton, Stephen Williams of Goldsboro, Tony Rowe of Goldsboro, Donnie Rowe of Dudley and Ricky Rowe of Goldsboro. In addition to her children, she is survived by two sisters, Catherine Hinnant and Waletta Crawford both of Goldsboro and a brother, Charles Ellis of Charlotte 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
