ANNIE A. EVANS

Annie Aycock Evans, 87, passed away Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Evans was born in Johnston County on Jan. 2, 1921 to the late Jesse Aycock and Elma Hollowell Aycock. She was married to the late Jesse Evans. Mrs. Evans had attended Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 7 tonight in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Grady and the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her daughters, Mae Smith and her husband, Doug, of Goldsboro and Nellie Carter and her late husband, Bud, of LaGrange; her son-in-law, Bud Blizzard; eight grandsons and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Blizzard; three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends today following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Doug and Mae Smith, 113 Jacob's Ridge Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
