VINCENT M. BRYANT

Died Aug. 1, 2008

LaGRANGE -- Mr. Vincent Maurice Bryant, 48, 101 N. Forbes St., died Friday at his home.

Funeral services for Mr. Bryant will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2600 Rouse Road, Kinston, with Minister Veronica Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, LaGrange.

Mr. Bryant was a native of Lenoir County, where he attended public schools. He attended Bowie State and Mount Olive College majoring in music. He was a member and trustee of St. Luke Free Will Baptist Church, LaGrange, for many years. His love of music and Christ pressed him to diligently serve and perform until his health failed.

Surviving him are two god-daughters, Raven Coley of LaGrange and Morgan Sutton of Kinston; maternal grandmother, Sophia Bryant of Kinston; one sister, Shirley Seaward of LaGrange; two aunts, Margaret Miles of LaGrange and Lue H. Lynch of Washington, D.C.; one uncle, Norman Miles of LaGrange; one nephew, Davy Seaward of Fort Washington, Md.; two special cousins, Charles Joyner and Emma Robinson, both of LaGrange; and a host of other relatives, church family and dear family.

Family will receive friends for viewing and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Free Will Baptist Church, LaGrange.

Arrangements are being handled by Mitchell's Funeral Home, 1000 Howell St., Greenville.
