Vernice Moore Artis, 68, 1600 Tampa St., Apt. No. 7, departed this earthly life Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She will be remembered during a homegoing service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Deeper Life Church Ministries with Apostle Norbert Simmons officiating. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Park, Mount Olive.
Left to cherish beautiful memories are her children, Brenda Ward and Patricia Moore, both of Goldsboro, Jerry Moore of Jonesboro, Ga., Larry Moore of Gordonsville, Ga., and Ronnie Moore of Ga.; sister Eva Mae Carter of Mount Olive; brother Roy Edward Moore of Liberty, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro with the family present to receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter Brenda, 707 N. Pineview Ave., where they will also assemble for the funeral procession.
