Mr. Michael Lynn Manuel Sr., 54, 216 Wayne Ave., lovingly known by his family and friends as "Mike," departed this life on Sunday to enter into eternal rest.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530 with the Rev. William J. Barber officiating. Burial will follow at First Congregational UCC Cemetery, Old Mount Olive Highway, Dudley, N.C., 28333. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., from 1 until 7 p.m. A wake will be conducted from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
Mike was born to the Late David Levi Manuel Sr. and his living mother, Mrs. Margaret Edmundson Manuel, on Sept. 10, 1953.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Margaret Manuel; his two children, Michael Lynn Manuel Jr. and Sherry Manuel; his four sisters, Eleanor Jean Johnson, Valerie Manuel Taylor, Kathy Lafran Manuel and Nicole Manuel; his two brothers, David Manuel Jr. and Charles Alvin Manuel; his aunt, Bertie Jean Boney; his two uncles, Kennon Jacobs and Harvey Jacobs; special cousin, Rhonda Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Margaret Manuel, 216 Wayne Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
