DOROTHY L. MORGAN

LAGRANGE -- Dorothy Eloise Lewis Morgan, 79, died Saturday.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. today at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Bailey Town Cemetery, with the Rev. Billy Toler officiating.

Dorothy was a 36-year member of The Women of the Moose, where she attained a College of Regents degree.

Surviving are her husband, James D. Morgan of LaGrange; two daughters, LaRue Howell Sutton and husband, Thomas, and Greta Dee Sutton and husband, Clifton, both of LaGrange; two sons, Raymond H. Barnhill III and wife, Wanda, of Walterboro, S.C., and Dempsey Harris Jr. and wife, Sue, of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Lewis of Burlington, Ann Parrish and husband, Oliver, of Knightdale, and Mae Lamm of Bailey; three brothers, Marvin Lewis and wife, Janice, and Spencer Lewis and wife, Judy, both of Bailey, and the Rev. Dr. George Lewis and wife, Betty, of Brazil; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Lewis of Four Oaks and Barbara Lewis of Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman Ralph and Beulah Hare Lewis; a sister, Louise Massey; two brothers, William Ralph Lewis and Robert Lewis; a son-in-law, the Rev. Danny Howell.

The family will receive friends tonight immediately following the service at the funeral home.
