H. STEVE MARTIN

April 14, 1948 - July 2, 2008

CONWAY, S.C. -- H. Steve Martin, 60, 962 Fox Hollow Road, died Wednesday, at home.

Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home, Mount Olive, on Saturday, 1 - 2:45 p.m. followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Micah Lane officiating.

A native of Mount Olive, and a resident of New Bern for 29 years, he had been a Conway resident for the past five years. A former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in New Bern and a current member of Socastee Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, he was educated at Southern Wayne High School, Mount Olive College, and Atlantic Christian College.

He had been an educator, coach, Sunday School teacher, sales manager, and possessed an entrepreneurial spirit.

Son of the late Holland and Norma Raye W. Martin, he is survived by his childhood sweetheart who became his wife of 37 years, Barbara Eason Martin; his loving sons, Stephen Brian Martin of Wilmington and Randall Ty Martin of Raleigh; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon Martin Kulers and John Kulers of Mount Olive; nieces, Kimberly Kulers Law and husband, Jeremy of Wilson, and Cortney Kulers Carawan and husband, Chris of New Bern; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wood Eason of Greenville, S.C.; his faithful canine companion, Punkin; countless other family and friends whose lives he touched and, theirs touched his.
