Died July 2, 2008
LAGRANGE -- Alton Murphey Fields, 73, 113 Ginger Drive in the Coker's Mill community, died Wednesday at his residence.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Hill Family Cemetery on West Hill St., with the Rev. Al Sullivan officiating.
A native of Greene county, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Edna Hill Fields. Mr. Fields was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church and was retired from Griffin Oil Company with over 30 years of service.
Mr. Fields is survived by his wife, Barbara Seymour Fields; his son, David Fields of Pikeville and his fiancée Wendy Pearce and daughters, Ashton, Charley, and Aubrey; his daughter, Vicky Warrick of the home and grandson, Jason Warrick.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fields was preceded in death by a brother, William Fields.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and will be at the residence at other times.
