REV. GRADY L. KINLEY

Rev. Grady Lee Kinley, 88, went to be with his Lord on Monday morning at Durham Regional Hospital.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martin Armstrong officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mebane with the Rev. Brian Sexton officiating.

Rev. Kinley was born in Davidson County on Oct. 15, 1919, to the late Henry James Kinley and Virginia Terry Kinley. He was married to the late Mildred Vinson Kinley.

Rev. Kinley retired in 1985 as a United Methodist Church minister and for 32 years had served in a dozen different churches in eastern North Carolina. He was a member of the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. After retirement, Rev. Kinley moved to Goldsboro and became a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Rev. Kinley is survived by his daughter, Mary Kinley Warren and husband, Duncan, of Hillsborough; his brother, Henry James Kinley of Mebane; his sisters, Agnes Haste of Burlington and Elsie Murray of Burlington; and his grandson, Robert Alexander Warren.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, 200 E. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
