Murray Robbins, 73, of Goldsboro died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

There will be no funeral service or formal visitation.

Murray was the son of A.J. and Annie Robbins of Bolton, N.C.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. For the last 33 years, he had lived in Goldsboro.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bertha Creech Robbins; his daughters, Dwan Robbins, Debra Robbins, Susan Searles and husband, David, all of Goldsboro; his daughter, Kae Robbins Jones of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his grandsons, Robin Robbins of Puyallup, Wash., and Luke and Wyatt Searles and Brandon Robbins all of Goldsboro; his granddaughters, Susan Holland and Emma Searles of Goldsboro, Alyssa Robbins of Sachse, Texas, and Renee Jones of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Robbins of Sachse, Texas; brothers, Chester Robbins, Jerry Robbins and wife, Myra, of Wilmington and Carl Robbins and wife, Dot, of Whiteville; three great-grandchildren of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Robbins of Wilmington, N.C., and Linda Shaw of Evergreen, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Garland Creech of Florence, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Andy Robbins; his sister, Elsie Rogers; and brothers, Pete, Tylon and Daniel Robbins.

The family will be at the residence to receive family and friends.

The family requests there be no flowers.
