Jack Alexander Castle Jr., 55, passed away Saturday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Jim Cavanaugh and Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Newport News, Va., he was the son of Virginia Mae Castle and the late Jack Castle. Mr. Castle was the husband of Sandra Sutton Castle and was a retired college administrator from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W. Va.
In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Castle is survived by brothers, William David Castle and wife, Carol, of Yorktown, Va., and F.T. Sutton of Mount Olive; sisters, Sandra C. Bryan and husband, Jerry, of Newport News, Va., and Lily Sutton of Goldsboro; mother-in-law, La Muriel Sutton of Mount Olive; nieces, Kristin Chiesa of Newport News, Va., Donna Rose of Goldsboro, Carolyn Rose Seed and husband, Eli, of Durham and Stasi Ray and husband, Nate, of New Castle, Pa.; nephews, Michael Chiesa and wife, Ann, of Newport News, Va., Stephen Johnson of Glen Burnie, Md., and Jeff Bryan of Grantham; great-nieces, Kelsi Chiesa of Newport News, Va., Jazmine Haines of New Castle, Pa., and Isabel and Flora Mae Seed both of Durham; great-nephews, J. T. Bryan of Grantham and Xavier and Jett Nguyen both of Newport News, Va.; special friends, Larry Allen and Bob Forsythe both of Goldsboro; and beloved pets, Sapphire, Alaska, Princess and Precious.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
