MOREHEAD CITY -- Lillian "Shorty" Thrower, 82, of Morehead City, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Carteret General Hospital.
Mrs. Thrower was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was a former member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City, where she served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher and helped with the music department.
Services will be 5 p.m. today at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Fields officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda T. and Earl Godwin of Morehead City, Sally T. and Doug Gordon of Goldsboro, Lisa T. and Cliff Lawrence of Morehead City; son, Donald A. Thrower of Morehead City; three grandchildren, Karen Baggett, Michael Gordon and Michele Kindlesparker; seven great-grandchildren, C.J., Bradley, Isley, Zeb and Isabell Baggett, Nathan Kindlesparker and Julia Kindlesparker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.L. "Chuck" Thrower.
