Retired Lt. Fireman Cedric Braswell, 68, of 812 Westview Court died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
His service to God and humanity will be remembered during his funeral today at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph's F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Leslie Capers officiating. He will be laid to rest at Barnes Chapel Church Cemetery.
He leaves to mourn a beautiful life of service and love to his wife, Doris Braswell of the home; daughters, Robin Fields of Clinton, Md., Renee Braswell of Charlotte, Keyoka Braswell of Fayetteville, Diane Watson of Four Oaks; a son, Cedric Braswell Jr. of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one devoted brother, Herbert Hoover Braswell; three loving sisters, Annie Mae Cox, Rachel Moore, Marjorie McKinney, all of Goldsboro; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession. The Braswell family is being served by McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries in Golds-boro.
