Died June 4, 2008
KINSTON -- Rose Summerlin Jones, 77, 2166 Wallace Family Road, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Fri-day, June 6, 2008, at 7 p.m. at Ed-wards Fu-neral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Edwards Funeral Home. A private burial will be held Saturday.
Rose was retired from E.I. DuPont, a member of the Diabetes Support Committee at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, a volunteer at the Lenoir County Sheriff Depart-ment/Senior Call Program and an avid bowler.
Survivors include her son, Paul Douglas Flowers Jr. and wife, Debi, of Goldsboro; daughter Sandra Denise Baker and husband, Edward, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Stacey Rose Sauls and husband, Junior, and Timothy Ray Sauls; and great-grandchildren, Tristyn Marie Sauls and Jared J.B. Smith.
Rose is also survived by a sister, Margaret Ivey of Goldsboro and brothers, Grover Summerlin of Covington, Ky., and Johnnie Summerlin of Pikeville.
