WAKE FOREST -- Susan Caroline Staton, 69, 813 Brewer Ave., Apt. A, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Wake Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wake Forest, with Bishop Robert McEwen conducting. Burial will follow in Wake Forest Cemetery.
She was born in Elbert County, Ga., the daughter of the late Beulah Fleming Adams and Chester Vernon Adams.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Ann Adams, and brother, James Donald Adams.
Mrs. Staton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wake Forest Ward.
Mrs. Staton is survived by her husband, Irvin A. Staton; children, Kathren Ann Capps of Knightdale, Rebecca Lynn Capps Collins of Zebulon, Thomas Earl Capps Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., Joseph Aaron Staton of Wake Forest, Terri Ann McCall of Pittsboro, Dorothy Louise Blackwell of Wilmington, Melissa June Marshall of Wilmington, William Irvin Staton of Clayton, Ruby Carol Moskop of St. Peters, Mo.; 14-grandchildren; four-great grandchildren; brother, Franklin Vernon Adams of Raleigh; sister, Shirley Ruth Harper of Pikeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the church.
Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center is handling the arrangements.
