Thadis Milton Coley, 63, lovingly known by his family and friends as "T.C.," of 315 Hunters Creek Drive, Goldsboro, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.

T.C. was preceded in death by his mother, the Rev. Rosa Mae Coley; one brother, Albert Lee Coley; and one sister, Evonne Coley Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters; Angela Young, of District Heights, Md., Lucretia Coley and husband, Spencer Holden of Newark, N.J., Thaddea Coley Bell of Columbus, Miss., and Tiffany Cherise Coley of Newark, Del.; four grandchildren; his father, Milford Lee Coley Sr. and wife, Ethel, of Goldsboro; seven sisters, Geraldine Coley Pitt of the home, Lavern Ward-Harvey and husband, Franklin, of Dudley, Lisa Coley of Harrisburg, Pa., Ethel Andrea Coley, Michelle Bryant, Shirley Coley, Erline and husband, Tine, Griffin, all of Goldsboro; five brothers, Sgt. Major Ret. Johnnie E. Coley and wife, Brenda, of Petersburg, Va., Anthony Coley and wife, Takisha, of Fremont, Milford L. Coley Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Michael Coley, and Harvey Griffin and wife, Deborah, all of Goldsboro; and extended family; Carolyn Brathwaite of Philadelphia, Pa., Patricia Davis of Youngstown, Ohio, Cleveland Atkinson and wife, Johnnie Mae, of Goldsboro, Kenneth Atkinson and wife, Erdine, of The Villages, Fla., and Archie Atkinson and wife, Cindy, of Middletown, N.Y.; one aunt, Vernell Brown of Goldsboro; one uncle, Thadis Coley Sr. of Goldsboro; 19 nephews; 16 nieces; 13 great-nephews; 12 great-nieces; one great-great-niece; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Elm Grove Church of Christ Disciples Of Christ, 118 Booker St., Pikeville, with Pastor Kenneth D. Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, 2925 S. U.S. 117 Hwy., Goldsboro, N.C. A viewing will be conducted on Monday, May 26, 2008, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro. Also, a wake will be held on Monday, May 26, 2008, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m., with the family in attendance to receive other family members and friends.

At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the home of Mrs. Geraldine Coley Pitt located at 315 Hunters Creek Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
