GREENSBORO -- Jessie Lindsay Hales, 91, formerly of Wayne County, died at Well-Spring Health Care Center in Greensboro. She was born in Almond, to the late John and France Lindsay and was preceded in death by her husband, John Hales of Pikeville.
Three children survive.
Memorial service will be held Friday, May 9, at 3 p.m. at Richardson Auditorium, WellSpring Retirement Community, Greensboro, with a reception following at 305 Kemp Road West, Greensboro.
Memorials may be made to the Jessie Lindsay Scholarship Fund in care of Western Carolina University Foundation, 201 HFR Administration Building, Cullowhee, N.C. 28733.
