RALPH C. LINDSAY

Feb. 22, 1932-April 14, 2008

FREMONT -- Ralph Clark Lindsay, 76, of 198 Pinkney Road, passed away Monday at home.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Dr. Richard Glosson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sasser and Talton Cemetery in Pikeville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Lindsay was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Fremont. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service and was a member of the Exchange Club.

Mr. Lindsay is survived by his wife, Carolyn Howell Lindsay; three stepsons, Marvin Waddell of Pikeville, Floyd Waddell of Nashville, N.C., Lewis Penzer and his wife, Rhonda, of Fremont; one stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Sistrunk and her husband, Mike, of Richmond, Texas; two sisters, Nina Guillory and Doris Lindsay, both of Missouri; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rebecca "Becky" Lindsay; four brothers, Carl, Robert, Roy and Junior; and one sister, Mabel Carter.
