BOBBY L. SHERARD
March 4, 1935-April 14, 2008
NEW YORK -- Bobby L. Sherard, 73, of 123 Susan Circle, passed Monday at the family's New York residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bossie Sherard and Ruth Ellis Sherard; sister, Clarice Lennon; and his beloved daughter, Monique Sherard Olivieri.
Eulogistic services will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters, 1800 Slocumb St., with the Rev. Harold O. Warren and the Rev. Johnnie Sherrod officiating. Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
To cherish warm and precious memories he leaves his beloved wife, Geraldine "Gerri" Harper Sherard of the home; son-in-law, Frank Olivieri of Pikeville; grandson, Christian Sherard Olivieri of Pikeville; sisters, Carolyn Sherard of Seven Springs and Peggy Best of Goldsboro; brothers, Harold Sherard of Bowen, N.Y., and Alexander Height of Goldsboro; and a host of special nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro. Mr. Sherard's remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
