MOUNT OLIVE -- Funeral for Carvester Simmons Sr., 78, of 411 Silver St., who died Tuesday at his home, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Light United Holy Church, Mount Olive, with Bishop Curtis Melton officiating. Interment will be in the Carver Memorial Park. Viewing will be 6-7 p.m. tonight at the church.
He was born to the late Levancie and Hattie Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Mary Simmons, and nine children.
Arrangements are being handled by Rhodes Funeral Home, Goldsboro.
