RAYMOND LOFTON

Funeral service for Raymond Lofton, of 6501 Speight School Road, Saratoga Community, a retired farmer, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street Extension. Elder Donald Loftin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Extension.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Channie Barnes Lofton, Adolph and Hattie Lofton.

He is survived by seven daughters, Ollie Lofton of Goldsboro, Bobbie Lofton-Woodard and husband, George, of Wilson, Addie Best and husband, Bobby, of Saratoga, Linda Lofton-Staton and husband, Melvin, of Rocky Mount, Wanda Bullock and husband, Danny, of Wilson, Glenda Smith and husband, James, of Stantonsburg and Hope Pittman of the Saratoga Community; five sons, Raymond Joseph Lofton of Saratoga, Roland Melvin Lofton, Billy Earl Lofton and wife, Irene, of Wilson, Randy Lee Lofton and wife, Shirley, of Fuguay-Varina, N.C., and Randy Dingle of Wilson; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Rudolph Lofton of Raleigh, N.C., James Lofton and wife, Rose, of Goldsboro; along with a host of other special relatives and friends, including special friend and caregiver, Evelyn Dingle.

A viewing of Mr. Lofton will take place Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. SW. The family will be present to receive friends at the church Saturday from noon until time of the service at 1 p.m.
