RENNIE FAYE BLACKBURN

Rennie Faye Blackburn, 78, a former resident of Pikeville Family Care, went to her permanent home on Wednesday.

Rennie was born in Duplin County to the late James Edwin Blackburn and Sallie Williams Blackburn. She was a member of Woods Grove P.F.W.B. Church for 58 years. Rennie was never married and devoted her life to her church, her family and friends. She was a second mother to her nieces and nephews and left them with many precious memories. Rennie was blessed to live at Pikeville Family Care for the last years of her life, until, because of declining health, she moved to the Brian Center of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Black-burn and Elbert Blackburn. She is survived by her brother, Carl Allen Blackburn and wife, Eunice, of Spencer; her nieces, Linda Midkiff and husband, Bob, of Pikeville, Maria Brooks and husband, Len, of Nicholson, Ga.; her nephews, Thomas Andrews and wife, Laurie, of Creedmoor, Herbert Andrews and wife, Judy, of Albertson, Pat Andrews and wife, Sally, of Chapel Hill; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Grady and the Rev. Doug Radford officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the funeral home.
