AUGUSTINE MAY ADKINS
Augustine May Adkins, 69, of 162 Saulston Road, passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards. The Rev. Danny James will officiate. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Adkins was born in Pike County, Ky., on May 21, 1938, to the late Arnold and Ersie May.
She is survived by one son, James Adkins and his wife, Denise, of Goldsboro; three daughters, Melissa Bogey and her husband, Horace, of Goldsboro, Nikki Carter and her husband, Rodney, of Pikeville, Teresa Adkins of Goldsboro; one brother, Plenney May and his wife, Gail; two sisters, Debra Hill and her husband, Jim, Connie Charles and her husband, Robert, all of Pikeville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Adkins; five brothers and one sister.
