Sumithra Raju, 71, died Monday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Raju was born in India to the late James Bethapudy and Mary Nethala Bethapudy. She was married to Dr. Yeddu B. Raju of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Albert O. Vannorsdall officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 503 Forest Hill Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
