LAGRANGE -- Edna Chase Hart, 86, of 106 W. Boundary St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hart was born in Greene County to the late Bill and Audrey Suggs Chase. She was wife of the late Isaac Taylor "Ike" Hart and was preceded in death by a daughter, Suellen Hart. Mrs. Hart was a member of LaGrange First Free Will Baptist Church and The Woodmen Of The World.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Hobgood officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Hart is survived by a son, Aubrey Hart and wife, Kathryn, of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Wesley Hart of Raleigh, Kelley Hart Black and husband, Jody, of Mount Holly; two great-grandchildren, Issac and Audrey Black; and a brother, Jimmy Chase of Kinston.
The family will receive friends following the service Friday and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Hart, 610 S. Caswell St., LaGrange.
