GEORGE A. DANIELS

George Aubrey Daniels, 86, died Wednesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
George was born in Washington, D.C., to the late James Daniels and Bessie Hurdle Daniels. He was retired from Meadow Gold Ice Cream Company. George served his country in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Stocks officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
George is survived by his wife, Rita Lewis Daniels; his children, Melvin Daniels and wife, Terry, of Florida, Gail Blevins and husband, Billy, of Florida, Mark Daniels and wife, Mukda, of Goldsboro, Wendy Craft of Goldsboro, Jerry Daniels and wife, Margaret, of Virginia Beach, George Daniels and wife, Kelly, of Virginia; his sisters, Garnet Strickland, Thelman Whalen, Catherine Daniels; and 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and his son-in-law, James Craft.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
