CELESTINE PATE JACKSON

Abbsilla Celestine Pate Jackson, 82, went to be with her Lord on Sunday at her home surrounded by her family.

Celestine was born in Duplin County to the late Coor Frank Pate and Mittie Sutton Pate. She was married to the late Clayro Jackson. Celestine retired from A & P Grocery Store with 25 years of service. She was a charter member of Jefferson United Methodist Church, where she was involved on various committees.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Celestine is survived by her daughter, Ada Boyd of Goldsboro; her son, Clayro Franklin Jackson and wife, Judy, of Faison; her grandchildren, Page Jackson Lane and husband, Chris, of Goldsboro, Cynthia Louise Jackson and fiancée, Jamie Woodcock, of Faison, Elouise Boyd VanWormer and husband, David, of Goldsboro; her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Page Grady, Kenneth Clayro Grady and Jackson Woodcock; her step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Kristen Lane, Mason Woodcock and Zack Woodcock; and her special friends and companions, Bailey and Roxy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert H. Pate.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Jefferson United Methodist Church, 1101 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at her home, 616 Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.
