Robert Glenn Pearce, 77, of Rosewood, died late Saturday morning. He was born in Wayne County Aug. 1, 1930, and was the son of the late Jessie and Lettie Capps Pearce.
He and his wife would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this coming Feb. 9.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Antioch Presbyterian Church with the burial following in the Sardis Baptist Church cemetery with the Revs. Lewis Baker and Kelly Buffaloe officiating. Serving as pallbearers are nephews, Randy McLamb, Terry McLamb, Larry Pearce, Anthony Pearce, Trampus Pearce, Eric Knuckles, Chris Mozingo and Timmy Mozingo.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Knuckles Pearce; brother, Lynn Pearce of Goldsboro; half-brother, Jessie Lee Pearce of Princeton; half-sister, Kaye Wilson of Clayton; grandson, Danny Glenn Pearce Jr. of LaGrange; granddaughter, April Dawn Pearce of LaGrange.
