MILDRED PIERCE MCCLENNY

RALEIGH -- Mildred Pierce McClenny, 83, formerly of Goldsboro, went to be with our Lord on Monday surrounded by her family at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. She was a resident of Raleigh Rehab for the past three years.
Mildred was born in Johnston County to Charlie A. Pierce and Annie Oliver Pierce. Mildred was a long-time member of the Goldsboro Friends Church in Goldsboro. She worked at Cherry Hospital in Goldsboro for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. K. "Keith" McClenny. In addition to her husband and parents; sister, Janie Pierce Meier of Goldsboro and brother, Raymond Pierce of Pine Level.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Keith McClenny and wife, Christine, of Virginia Beach, Va.; granddaughter, Melissa Luft and husband, Robert; great-granddaughter, Isabelle Luft; sister, Edith Pierce Winn of Creedmoor; brothers, Leland Pierce, Elton Pierce and wife, Doris, Charles Pierce and wife, Estelle, of Pine Level, Melvin Pierce and wife, Shirley, of Clayton; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. The burial will be at Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
