MOUNT OLIVE -- Leonard Armwood, 100, of 118 County Road, died Thursday. He was the son of the late John and Liza Armwood.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Burning Bush Holy Church, Faison, with the Rev. Otto Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Armwood Family Cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Celestine Sherrod and Ruth Harper of Mount Olive; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends at the residence on Friday from 12:30-2 p.m. at the church.
