R.L. SUTTON

MOUNT OLIVE -- Ralph Lorin "R.L." Sutton, 76, died Tuesday at Sunbridge Care Center.

He was a resident of the Suttontown Community, son of the late Oscar L. and Mittie Tadlock Sutton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, had been a farmer and a truckdriver.

The funeral will be held tonight at 7 p. m. at Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley King officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Tadlock Family Cemetery at Suttontown.

Visitation will be at the funeral home after the service, and at other times at 122 Tar Heel Drive, Mount Olive.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his long-time friend and companion, Geneva Strickland; a son, Ralph Sutton, and two daughters, Diane Williams and Robin Hull, all of Virginia; a sister, Margaret Jackson of Faison; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Lorin Sutton and a brother, Oscar Sutton.
