IDA MEDLIN

Ida Medlin, 81, of 7001 Summit Drive, died Thursday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Nash County to the late Henry Ruffin and Emily Annis Joyner Winstead. A member of Love Memorial Baptist Church, she attended the Ladies Willing Workers Sunday school class.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Medlin is survived by two sons, James Anthony Medlin and Stanley Wayne Medlin, both of Mount Olive; two brothers, Dixie Lee Winstead and Ruffin Norris Winstead, both of Elm City; and three sisters, Edith Pate of Rocky Mount, Audrey Joyner of Elm City and Jenell Rose of Anchorage, Alaska.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening immediately following the funeral service until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
