Rena Bell Gurley Pike, 95, of 1889 Hwy. 581 N. Pikeville, died Thursday at Wilson Medical Center. She was born May 29, 1912 and was the daughter of the late Lewis Ed and Effie Pate Gurley. She was the widow of Walter Lee Pike. Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret Hardison of Hampton, Va., Elizabeth Edwards of Kenly, Phyllis Turner of Titus-ville, Fla.; a brother, Raymond Ed Gurley of Newport News, Va.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
