Mildred Head Grady, 89, a resident of the Grantham community, died Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mildred was born in Wayne County on June 16, 1918 to the late Eugene Miller Head and Prudence Bryan Head. She was married to the late Granger Earl Grady. Mildred was a homemaker and had worked in the cafeteria at Grantham School for many years. She was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Burial will follow in Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Kenneth Grady of Grantham and Glenn Grady of Rocky Point; her daughters and son-in-law, Sandra G. Ryan of Goldsboro, Donna Grady-Thomas and husband, Charlie of Grantham and Lori Grady of Goldsboro; her sister, Louise Sasser of Goldsboro; her brother, Earl Head of Kinston; her sister-in-law, Eleanor Head of Grantham; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bobby Ryan; her sisters, Ruth Sasser and Lillian Whaley; and her brothers, Paul N. Head, Arnold Head and Thomas Head.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6- 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Donna and Charles Thomas, 775 Mills Road, Mount Olive.
