ASHLEY 'CLIFF' FORREST

Ashley Clifton "Cliff" Forrest, 47, of 221 Lane Tree Drive, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Pastor David Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Cliff was born in Wayne County on July 8, 1960, to Blonnie Howell Forrest of Goldsboro and the late David Clifton Forrest. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. Cliff was employed with UniFirst for over 10 years and was just promoted to salesman, in which he was to begin his new position on Jan. 2, 2008.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Terri Sassano Forrest; two sons, Ashley Clifton Forrest II and Austin Craig Forrest, both of the home; his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Cora Sassano of Goldsboro; his sister-in-law, LeaAnne O'Mara and her husband, Dan, of Yorktown, Va.; his brother-in-law, Tommy Sassano of Goldsboro; his nieces and nephews, Blakely Sassano, Dakota Sassano, Christopher Musser, Adam O'Mara and Jonathan O'Mara; his uncle, Craig Forrest of Cullowhee, N.C.; and other special aunts and uncles.

Cliff was preceded in death by his father, David Clifton Forrest.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Freedom Baptist Church, Building Fund, 300 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
