MORRISON SMITH
SEVEN SPRINGS -- Morrison Smith, 86, passed away Saturday at his residence.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with Dr. Dennis Draper officiating. A private entombment followed at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Smith was born in Edgecombe County on Dec. 1, 1920, to the late Rev. Leland Leroy Smith and Pearl Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Dee Smith; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Fergason of California; one brother, Leland Leroy Smith and his wife, Sybil, of Wilmington; two step-grandchildren, Sydney and Max Fergason; and a special niece, Wilma Heath of Deep Run.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27533.
