CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Zelda Combs Conahan entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service in Live Oak Memorial Gardens today at 1 p.m.

Zelda was born in Greene County June 19, 1931, the daughter of Issac Lee Combs and Sarah Emma Best Combs. She was a retired hearings and appeals clerk with the Social Security Administration.

Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis C. Rollins of Atlantic, Va.; her son, James "Keith" Potter of Annapolis, Md.; two sisters, Margueritte Smith of Illinois and Norma Jean Walston of Mount Olive; two brothers, Jim H. Combs of Goldsboro and Marty Combs of Snow Hill; four grandchildren, Ronda Miller, Troy Wallis, Angela Potter and Teresa Knod; eight great-grandchildren, Brian, Brianna, Caity, Lara, Tori, Timmy, Lauren and Cody; and many nieces and nephews.
