DONALD RAY PEELE

MOUNT OLIVE -- Donald Ray Peele, 60, passed away Tuesday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Durham.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Mount Olive. Interment will follow at Oakview Cemetery in Mount Olive.

Mr. Peele was born in Wayne County on Sept. 6, 1947, to David V. and Louise Wilson Peele of Mount Olive. He was a member of Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Peele is survived by one brother, David Timothy Peele of Mount Olive; two sisters, Helen Peele Nobles and her husband, Wade, of Durham and Joyce Peele of Raleigh; and one brother-in-law, Charlie M. Holloway of Mount Olive.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Peele Holloway.

A viewing will be held on Saturday from 4 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. The family will receive friends other times at the home of his parents, 1378 Indian Springs Road in Mount Olive.
