REV. O. HAROLD HEATH

Nov. 11, 1944-Sept. 17, 2007

The Rev. Doctor O. Harold Heath, born on Nov. 11, 1944, passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007.

He was the son of the late Ernest and Lola Heath of Pink Hill. Evangelist and minister for 48 years, he pastored 41 years with the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Denomi-nation serving the following churches: Great Branch Church, Richlands; Stones Chapel Church, Trenton; Long Branch Church, Dunn; Woods Grove Church, Golds-boro; Piney Grove Church, Beulaville, Open Door Church, Little River, S.C.; Carroll Street Church, Mag-nolia and Turner's Chapel Church, Pink Hill. He owned and operated Myra's Restau-rant for 181/2 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Myra J. Turner Heath of the home; daughters, Beverly J. Brown and husband, Allen, of Pink Hill and Kimberly H. Butts and husband, Dean, of Wallace; two granddaughters, Holly J. Brown and April D. Butts; step-grandson, Trey Brown of Goldsboro; brother, the Rev. Preston Heath and wife, Iris, of Dunn; many nieces and nephews as well as wonderful friends.

Rev. Heath attended Pink Hill School, William Howard Carter Bible College and Andersonville Bible College, where he received his Doctor of Theology.

Special thanks to Dr. Ed Little and the staff of Pink Hill Medical, Dr. Jennifer Murphy of Pink Hill Chiro-practic, the staff of the third and fourth floors of Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Dr. Robert Gallaher and Dr. Peter Watson for their concern and compassion in the care and treatment of Rev. Heath. Also special thanks to Paula Holmes and the staff of the P.F.W.B. Denomination Head-quarters for their help in keeping in constant contact with his brother during these last several weeks.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, 7-9 p.m., at Pink Hill Funeral Home, Pink Hill and others times at the home 192 Parker Heath Road, Pink Hill. Funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pink Hill.
