VANCEBORO -- Katie Belle Lupton Wright, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007.
Funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wright, a native of Wayne County, had lived in Craven County for most of her life. She never met a stranger and was always willing to return love to everybody. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was a member of the Juniper Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Wright; a son, William Clayton Wright; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, James Wright, Billy Wright and Wayne Wright, all of Vanceboro, and Woody and Ida Wright of New Bern; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Everette, May Neal, Joyce Lanier and Jean Mitchell, all of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
