ELIZABETH 'LIB' BREWER
ELLENBORO -- Elizabeth Emeline "Lib" Blanton Brewer, 67, of 381 Short Road, Ellenboro, N.C., died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Rutherford Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, she was born Oct. 10, 1939, to the late Carl G. and Docie Patterson Blanton. She was a homemaker and attended Corinth Baptist Church, Ellenboro. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, C. G. Blanton, Bill Blanton, Don Blanton and Jack Blanton.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Brewer; one son, Rodney Gosnell of Rutherfordton; one daughter, Terry Gosnell Tharrington and husband, Rick, of Goldsboro, N.C.; two stepsons, Danny Brewer and Barry Brewer, both of South Carolina; stepdaughters, Cathy Medlock and husband, Don, of Cummings, Ga.; Trina Hoffert and husband, Steve, of Columbia, S.C.; four brothers, Lewis Blanton, Bobby R. Blanton, Finley Blanton, and Sam Blanton, all of Ellenboro; two sisters, Janie Harris and Nellie Kimbrell, both of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Jesse Barber, Ricky Tharrington and Brooke Gosnell; step-grandchildren, Angie Black and Jeffery Medlock; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Soto, Brianna Medlock, Skylar Black and Ava Medlock.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Corinth Baptist Church, Ellenboro, with the Rev. David Jendrey and the Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007.
