WHORTONSVILLE -- Rhonda Silverthorne Scott, 53, died Sunday at home. She was a member of Bethel F.W.B. Church. She was an educator at Fred Anderson School. Mrs. Scott was a loving wife, mother, "nana" and sister.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel F.W.B. Church in Whortonsville, with the Rev. Owen Peele, the Rev. Larry Ponds and Debbie Whorton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Scott, one son, Matt Scott of the home; two daughters, Lauren Gaskill of Arapahoe and Josie Scott of Wilmington; one brother, Andy Silverthorne of Fuquary-Varina; one sister, Jo Helen Johnson of Seven Springs; and three grandchildren, Autumn, Lucas and Caroline.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home and Cremations of Alliance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Bethany Christian Church Rebuilding Fund, Arapahoe, N.C. 28510.
