PIKEVILLE -- Lynda "Lynne" Barnes Sugg, 42, died suddenly at her home on Saturday.
Lynne was born in Wayne County to Linda Vail Barnes and William Pete Barnes of Pikeville. She had worked as a nurse.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Cha-pel. Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Kristin Newman Shirley, Mary Brittney Hall and Jacob Marcus Sugg; her grandson, Trevor Shirley; and her brothers and sisters, Page Barnes and wife, Gail, of Goldsboro, Chris Barnes of Fremont, Mark Barnes of Durham, Tim Barnes and wife, Lori, of Goldsboro, Melinda Mercer and husband, Neil, of Pikeville, Tina Mitchell and husband, Kevin, of Pikeville, April Etheridge and husband, Charles DisDier, of Pikeville, Lance Barnes of Pikeville, Amber Barnes of New Bern, Aimee Barnes of Pikeville and Ashlyn Barnes of Pikeville.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Helene Rawson and Annie Turner; and her great-grandmother, Sally Vail.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
