AUTRYVILLE -- Sylvia Knowles Ford, age 50, of 1324 Carroll Store Road, went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville. Born in Harnett County to Thomas and Shirley Knowles of Autryville, N.C., she was employed as a sales associate with Belk's of Clinton. She was a member of Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy where she served as the Sunday school secretary.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy in Autryville with the Rev. Warren Barfield Sr. and the Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Church Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Sylvia is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ford; one daughter, Keli Nicole Ford of Fayetteville, N.C.; one granddaughter, Bayli Nicole Ford of Fayetteville, N.C.; her siblings, Barbara Knowles Simmons and her husband, Ronnie, of Autryville, N.C., Vickie Knowles Turlington and her husband, Mark, of Clinton, N.C., Ronnie Poole Knowles and his wife, Frieda, of Dunn, N.C.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Family members will greet friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mount Carmel Church Family Life Center in Autryville and at other times will be at the home.
