TOM WIGGINS

July 11, 1929-July 14, 2007

John William "Tom" Wiggins Sr., 78, of 101 D & W Circle, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Tom was born in Lenoir County to the late Luther and Mattie Newsome Wiggins. He was a retired farmer and a member of Garris Chapel United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at 10 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. John Norman officiating.

Tom is survived by his wife, Peggy Sloan Wiggins; two sons, John W. "Tommy" Wiggins Jr. and wife, Denise, of Seven Springs, and Phillip Sloan Wiggins of Goldsboro; two stepchildren, Steve Cox and wife, Connie, of Goldsboro, and Pam Thomas and husband, Rex, of Warner Robbins, Ga.; two grandchildren, John William Wiggins III and Shelby Wiggins; and four step-grandchildren, Trevor Cox, Stacey Matthews, Chelsea Thomas and Garrett Thomas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Thomas.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times, they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
