SURF CITY -- Derald Dark Brown Sr., 75, of Atkinson Point Drive, died Thursday morning at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington.
The Duplin County native was born to the late Otis and Sallie Spell Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Lenacarr Lanier Brown, of the home.
Four children also survive.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Providence Baptist Church in Holly Ridge. Dr. Al Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens, Highway 24/50 East, Warsaw.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home, 122 South Dyson Street, Holly Ridge. Extended family and friends will be received, at other times, at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church, Attn: Building Fund, 406 East Ocean Road, Holly Ridge, N.C. 28445.
