Carl Davis, 86, died Saturday morning at his home.
Carl was born in Wayne County on September 28, 1920 to the late J.M. Davis and Jo Ella Hill Davis. He was a retired farmer in the Hood Swamp Community.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the Hill Family Cemetery on West Hill St., Goldsboro.
Carl is survived by his wife, Edna Smith Davis; his daughter, Carolyn Rose Davis Mooring of Goldsboro; his son and daugter-in-law, Carl Shelton and Ann Davis of Goldsboro; his sister, Dorothy Herring of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home, 205 W. Hill Street, Goldsboro.
