MILDRED C. HILL

June 14,1932-July 5, 2007

SNOW HILL -- Mildred Chase Hill, 75, went to be with her Lord Thursday morning, July 5, 2007. A native of Greene County, she was born the daughter of Sidney and Blanche Thomas Chase. A talented seamstress, Mrs. Hill specialized in making curtains, drapery and other window treatments for many years. She was an active and faithful member of Free Gospel P.F.W.B. Church where she served as a member of the choir, Lady's Auxiliary, former Sunday school teacher, and was always willing to help with any church ministry or function.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Free Gospel P.F.W.B. Church with pastor Terry Heath and youth pastor Michael Hamm officiating. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Snow Hill Cemetery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alease C. Lane and a brother, Billy Chase.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Wayne Hill of the home; a daughter, Sharon Hill Gay and husband, Ricky, of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Sherwood Gay of Snow Hill and Tonya G. Perry and husband, Lee, of Walstonburg; great-grandchildren, Austin Gay, Caleb Gay, Wyatt Perry and Lee Perry; a sister, Elsie C. Skinner of Snow Hill; and brothers, Jimmy Chase and Bud Chase, both of Snow Hill.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Friday and other times at the home, 562 Free Gospel Road, Snow Hill.
