LAGRANGE -- James Atmore "Jim" Benners Sr., 79, 4832 Clayton's Place, died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Norfolk, Va. to the late George and Carrie Benners.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Benners; three children and three stepchildren.
Funeral was 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. today at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation was held following the service and at other times the family will be at the home.
